Learning the Dynamic Way

We teach foundational and CONTEST math

We teach a broad range of students, from 2nd through 12th grade.

The math concepts they learn will help them in their regular classroom math environment and beyond. We even offer classes that adults can participate in! Here's a quick look at our general course offerings:

  • 2nd-3rd Grade: Foundational Math. In this class, we teach our precocious kids math concepts well beyond common core standards and help set a foundation for MOEMS.
  • 4th-5th Grade: Division E Contest Math. Specifically for Elementary school students. Kids participate in Math Olympiad competitions. Honors classes for advanced students.
  • 6th-8th Grade: Division M Contest Math. Specifically for Middle school students. Kids participate in more advanced Math Olympiad competitions. Accelerated classes for advanced students.
  • 6th-8th Grade: Math Explorations. A deep dive into very advanced math concepts and competitions beyond MOEMS.
  • Grade 8-12: Advanced Topics in Math. Exceptionally challenging math course geared towards prepping students for AMC10, AMC12, and AIME competitions. This class will challenge advanced adult students as well.

What is CONTEST math?

The INS and OUTS of contest math

Students from all over the country and around the world participate in contest math. Contest math is challenging and fun!

What IS contest math?

It's exactly what it sounds like! Just like there are athletic competitions that demonstrate the amazing capabilities of the human body, there are math competitions that show how wonderful the human mind can be. One of the organizations that hosts these competitions is called Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools, or MOEMS for short. These math athletes (sometimes called "mathletes") try to answer different word-based math problems with a limited amount of time. Every year at Dynamic Teaching, our instructors help hundreds of kids prepare for and thrive in Math Olympiads contests...and have tons of fun doing so!

Here's how MOEMS describes itself:

What does a Math Olympiads question look like?

Stumped? No worries. We'll teach your students how to get through problems like this, too. Our instructors and TA's are experts at solving these. All of our TA's were once in the same shoes as your student. Some day, your student could be solving these problems and maybe even teaching other kids how to solve them! Math Olympiads isn't where it ends. At Dynamic, we also teach foundational math for 2nd and 3rd graders as well as advanced competition math for middle schoolers and high schoolers. You can learn more about these other competitions here.
